ABOUT VISAKHAPATNAM

The City of Destiny

Cradled between the Eastern Ghats and the Bay of Bengal, Visakhapatnam, fondly known as Vizag, blends natural beauty with cultural heritage and technological ambition. With its golden beaches, green hills, and calm coastal setting, the city offers both serenity and momentum. Visakhapatnam is emerging as a key driver of India’s digital and industrial growth. It hosts one of the country’s major natural harbours and plays a vital role in trade on the eastern coast.

A significant development is the proposed ₹87,520 crore (~USD 15 billion) Artificial Intelligence and data centre hub, supported by the Government of India and the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The project aims to position the city as a global digital connectivity hub through subsea links with multiple countries.
